Lime Plastering
We offer a range of lime plastering services to create a breathable and beautiful home.
Lime plaster can be used in kitchens and bathrooms (non wet areas) and can help to avoid mold. We are often asked to remove modern gysum plaster (multifinish) that has been applied over the original lime in the past and has failed or is causing damp problems.
Once fully hardened lime plaster is durable and will last a lifetime.
Lime plaster also has a beautiful patina and can be left exposed for a functional and ‘in-vogue look’.
We work with a range of lime plaster products alongside our supplier Chalk Down Lime. We work with lime putty, chalk plaster, limestone dust, and many more.

Lime Rendering
We offer a full lime rendering service, including vital preparation such as paint removal, cement removal and surface preparation. Lime render will allow your property to breathe, unlike cement which can trap moisture and cause damp issues. We are most commonly asked to render period or listed buildings ranging from Victorian terraces to 400 year old cottages. But recently we are seeing a rise in requests for lime render on modern, new and eco homes which benefit from lime render’s insulating, breathable and long lasting qualities..
We work closely with our supplier Chalk Down Lime to use appropriate products for your building’s needs. We can mix our own render using traditional methods, or use more modern lime products depending on the project requirements.

Sustainable Boarding & Laths
For heritage homes we are able to repair or re-install laths in the traditional manor.
For a breathable, sustainable approach we can install Wool Wool or Wood Fibre boards.
Wood wall board is environmentally friendly and consist of long, strong wood fibres which are mineralised and bonded into panels. Unlike modern plaster board, wood wall board is 100% recyclable so does not pose any risk to the environment during its lifespan - this also makes it cheap to dispose of waste.
Lime plaster is applied directly to the boards
Wood Fibre boards can be used as render boards and have insulating properties.
